Booking your own MRI scan with Private Health Insurance

At MRI Plus, we have a vision to help our patients take control of their health. We strongly believe that Private Healthcare can be for everyone, and should be:

  • Accessible
  • Affordable
  • High-Quality

Our mission is to continuously develop our imaging services so going private is less expensive, less time-consuming and less hassle for you. With this in mind, we have reviewed and developed the following areas:

  • Quick access to appointments
  • Booking process
  • Affordable, transparent pricing
  • Alternative payment options

In line with these values and our mission, we’ve made some big changes this year, with our new website, updating our services and introducing new products and services.

Booking your MRI scan with Private Health Insurance

We now have a more tailored approach for Private Health Insured patients, which can be seen throughout our new booking process.

Online Booking

We have introduced a new online booking system so that you can complete your entire booking online.

You can take your time choosing your MRI scan areas, and submit your health insurance details for your scan, all from the comfort of your own home.

Simply choose Insurance during your online booking and submit your Private Medical Insurance details and authorisation code when prompted.

Appointments

We have introduced a live diary, so you can choose your own appointment with real-time availability, at a time and date that suits you.

We offer same-day and next-day appointments, subject to availability, or you can choose to book in advance to work around your schedule.

Simply start by choosing your MRI type and searching for the body area that's giving you trouble. You will be able to see our locations and appointment availability before proceeding through to booking your MRI scan.

£50 towards your policy excess when you book your MRI scan using your Health Insurance

We will pay £50 towards your policy excess when you book your MRI scan using your Private Health Insurance.

There are two ways to claim this offer:

  • Book your own MRI scan online, giving your Private Medical Insurance details and authorisation code.
  • Ask your referrer to submit your referral letter to us via email and ensure that you provide your Private Medical Insurance details and authorisation code prior to your MRI scan.

Once we have received payment from your insurer, we shall then issue you with £50, as a payment towards your policy excess.

Please note that this payment may take up to 30 days and is dependent on how quickly your insurer settles your claim.

Refer yourself for an MRI

There is no longer a need to wait for a doctor or consultant's referral to booking your MRI scan, you can simply and easily refer yourself on our website. All we ask is that you provide details of your GP or specialist that will receive a copy of your results and offer ongoing care or treatment.

If you are using Private Health Insurance, please ensure that you check the Terms and Conditions of your policy before choosing the self-referral option.

Check out our website for more information or go ahead and book your MRI scan online today.
